Our church is led by our pastor and the elders, assisted by other members of the executive committee.

Our Pastor - James van Heerden

James was trained and served as a pastor with the Methodist and Baptist denominations as well as IFCC before joining with the Vineyard ministries.  He and his wife Deanna were married in 1976 and have two daughters: Jo-anne, married to Patrick and practicing medicine, and Karyn, married to Riaan and living in Auckland NZ with their two children.  James has pastored our church since December 1983.

Our Elders

	Chris Tait.  Chris and Liz were married in 1973 and have two children, Donny and Wendy.  Chris and Liz head up one of our cell groups, and have run several Alpha courses.  Chris also heads up another cell group for some of our new members from other African countries.  Chris runs Tait Marine and Liz is a highly experienced practising counsellor.
	Andre Vercueil.  Andre and Monique were married in 1980 and have two sons, Roscoe and Dewald.  Andre has overall responsibility for worship in our church and Monique teaches Sunday School to our teenagers; together they also head up one of our cell groups.  Andre is a practising architect, and he and Monique also have another business, A&M Photography, which does photography and videos for weddings and other events.
	Neil Hinrichsen.  Neil heads up our junior church and has been involved with the youth ministry in our church for the past ten years.  He has preached in our church a number of times.  Neil was previously in IT for over twenty years, and does strategy consulting and runs Worldshift seminars on parenting teenagers.  He has a personal blog here.
	Neale Perring.  Neale and Adri were married in 1985 and have a son Matthew, and both also have children from previous marriages.  They head up one of our cell groups and Neale also preaches regularly in our church.  Neale is the Director of Technical Services for Knysna, and Adri is an artist with her own art and crafts business.
	Frans Kock.  Frans and Felicity were married in 1984 and have two children, Nicholas and Melissa.  Frans serves in our worship team and has been involved in music ministry for twenty years.  He has a degree in economics and works for Keystone Financial Solutions, while Felicity is the clinic nurse for Clicks in Knysna.
	John Jaftha.  John and Sylvia were married in 1981. They have two children, Janine and Doneal.  John helps lead the Perrings cell group.  He has been employed as an Environmental Health Practitioner for thirty years at the Knysna Municipality, where he is currently the Manager of Solid Waste. Sylvia is a teacher at Hornlee Primary School.
	Johnny Vorster.  Johnny and Karen were married at East London in 1981, and have two sons, Dean and Andre. Johnny is involved a cell group, has run many Alpha courses and is currently actively motivating the men to take their rightful place in their families and community. He has a construction company and is responsible for all aspects of the business with Karen helping him.

Karen Gschwend.  Karen is on the executive committee as our secretary.

Marietjie Prinsloo.  Marietjie is on the executive committee as our treasurer, and is responsible for managing our accounts and financial statements.
